Employee Challenge Program - 08/10/2009On the "Employee Challenge" program, we give every one of our employees a card that has a special deal for the customers. We challenge the employees to see how many of their friends and relatives they can bring into the restaurant to redeem this special offer. The idea is to entice a new or current customer to come into the restaurant to eat. The employees are told they can give these cards to family and friends. The cards can be given to anyone who is not currently in the restaurant or not in the parking lot getting ready to come into the restaurant. The Employee Challenge is a New Perspective in Marketing that can make a big difference in your sales. It allows your employees to have fun and they are able to make a little extra money. You reward them $.25 or $.50 for every certificate that is redeemed with their name on it. At $.50 cents per certificate if the employee brought 100 customers to the restaurant they would get a $50.00 bonus. A very realistic goal for every employee. Studies indicate that the average person knows about 250 people. What if your employees and management team could bring in just 10% of the 250 people they know through a special offer? If your employee fifty people and each of them averaged bringing in only 10% of their acquaintances, that's 25 people times 50 employees or 750 patrons. If your average guest check is $10.00, that equates to $7,500.00 of increased sales. If you give such outstanding food and service that they would continue to visit your restaurant only one time per month for a year, you have increased your sales by $90,000.00.
