How does the Guest "feel" about YOUR Restaurant AFTER they've eaten? - 08/28/2009

The Key to your Success when Dining out is how the Guest "feels" about YOUR Restaurant AFTER they've eaten the Food.

They should feel happy and satisfied and anxious to come back. Do your servers allow the Guests to enjoy their meal more. Do the servers make the overall meal taste better? Does the food look better, more complete? Did the Guest have more variety? Did the Guests "share" an appetizer or dessert, did this create a feeling of camaraderie? Outstanding food and service can have a very positive affect on a dining experience. Different foods complement each other and enhance their FLAVORS. When all of these things are brought together by a skillful server, through suggestions, the Guests will enjoy their meal more and feel happy and satisfied. As a direct result of their satisfaction, they will come back to dine more often.

A server who is sincerely interested in ensuring an outstanding dining experience for the Guest creates a wonderful attitude of expectancy. The air is charged with electricity. The kitchen has a tremendous responsibility for the awesome appearance and the delicious taste of the food, so everything is cooked to perfection and served at the proper time and temperature.

Food always tastes better when there is a special occasion. When people are celebrating they want the extra-ordinary and a server should go out of their way to ensure that they suggest items that will enhance the dining experience. Suggestions will also increase the value of the meal. Outstanding service and professional, well prepared food creates a wonderful "WOW, Exceptional Service!" feeling in the minds and hearts of the Guests.
