Kid's Birthday or Special Event Parties - 09/11/2009Kid's Birthday or Special Event Parties would be a bit more relaxed and fun. You would have a Host/Hostess and Server work together to serve and play with the kids. You could have a special birthday clown or a magician that comes in. You should have a Party Manager that attends every party that sets up the party in a children's theme and has games for all age groups. All the kids should receive party bags to take home with them. Inserted in these bags should be a FREE Kid's meal certificate. Kid's parties should include a few packages also. One package could include a movie and dinner. Contact a movie theater and ask for kid discount passes. Set up a birthday deal with them and let them offer a discount on popcorn and drinks for the kids. Have the kids come for dinner/lunch, have two choices for them. (If you are a pizza place, let the kids make their own mini pizzas.) Have the meal include entree, chips, drink, ice cream and cake! Have a clown or magician entertain the children while waiting for their food. Keep a time limit of 1-2 hours per party. After eating, play 1 or 2 simple games such as bingo, a hoola hoop contest, pin the tale on the "_______" (use some kind of animal that fits your Restaurant theme). Make sure the games are age appropriate. You don't want them to get bored. After the games, have a special chair for the birthday child to sit in while opening presents! Have a trash can close so you can collect the wrapping paper. After the presents are open, it would be time for the party to end. As the children leave, have the Hostess hand out the goodie bags. You could include a FREE or discounted child's meal certificate for their next visit. You can order many party items from our website at: http://restaurantmarketinggroup.org/store/index.php?Cat=18 We have balloons, blowers, hats, plates, napkins, decorations, party favors, glow lites, etc. There are a lot of parents who would rather pay you to do the party. You need to keep your birthday parties consistent. Have flyers made up with your prices and what you offer for each party. Have them in a place where they are easily seen. Let your Customers know that you have both adult and children's birthday parties as well as other special events! Advertise in your Newsletter and offer a "Bonus" certificate for any party booked on a Monday through Thursday. Look around your area and see who you could cross-promote with such as a movie theater, skating rink, miniature golf facility, bowling alley, game center or dance club. Work out special birthday pricing with these places. You could get their logo for your birthday flyers and give them some of your logos to place in their business. Back to Top Other Entries |
