Marketing To Businesses - 08/21/2009

The objective of the "Business Bonanza" Marketing Program is to create excitement and awareness of your Restaurant. The goal is to contact all businesses within a one to three mile radius around your Restaurant and to begin to work on "Integrated Marketing."

You want to maximize the potential sales within this area. The focus will be to strengthen the relationship with the Current Customers of your Restaurant; to recruit New Customers and to eventually setup programs to recruit even the Customers who are patronizing a selected number of these "Neighborhood" noncompetitive businesses.

The major area of concentration will be the owner/managers of the business and their Employees. The "Business Bonanza" program is designed to "WOW" these individuals and to encourage as many visitations to your Restaurant as possible, as soon as possible.

You need to be "The Restaurant of Choice" within your Market area. Whenever anyone thinks about eating out, the only logical choice must be your Restaurant. A "feel-good" relationship and outstanding food and service will help you to accomplish this goal.

As you make a face-to-face contact with these businesses you are "Telling Your Story." We recommend that the Manager/Owner him/herself make the contacts immediately around the Restaurant and thoroughly train any other individuals that are going to help contact the remaining businesses. Remember, these individuals are representing your Restaurant and YOU. They need to be well-trained, professional and skilled at Telling Your Story.

Contact All Businesses

You must get the immediate, favorable attention of the people that you come in contact with. They must "feel-good" about your contact. When they visit your Restaurant, it is your responsibility to ensure that they have an outstanding dining experience and have a desire to "Share their wonderful visit to your restaurant" with their family, friends and business associates.

One of the goals that every member of management should have is to visit ONE business a day or five businesses per week. On a consistent basis you will be surprised about how effective this will be. Nobody can tell your story as well as you can.
