The atmosphere within your restaurant should be one where employees are encouraged to find their areas of greatest potential. - 10/02/2009

The atmosphere within your restaurant should be one where employees are encouraged to find their areas of greatest potential. It should be an intentional effort to discover how each employee might perform at "world-class" levels. Being the very best that they can be and the very best that it can be done.

Unfortunately, most employees and the management team are so preoccupied with forcing knowledge into the minds of employees and plugging skill gaps that developing an awareness of the natural abilities of their employees is totally ignored.

AIMHIRE is designed to match the personality of the person to the personality of the job. AIMHIRE will identify the areas of an employee's greatest strengths; areas where they have the capability to become a world-class performer. They must have the right aptitude for the job. Now, you can focus on obtaining whatever knowledge and work skills are needed to help each employee reach their greatest potential in their areas of strength.

You also need to understand that employees do not need to have strengths in every aspect of their job position in order to excel. They only need to learn how to manage their weaknesses and focus on their strengths. SuperStar performers are rarely perfect in all areas.

Employees will only excel by maximizing their strengths never by focusing on their weaknesses. This is not saying to ignore their weaknesses. SuperStars do not ignore their weaknesses, instead they find ways to manage their weaknesses, which is much more effective and then, focus on their strengths to make them better and better.
