That doesn't mean that you're "giving away the restaurant", and it doesn't mean you let the employees do whatever they want, it means you treat the employees with respect; you tell them what they need to do to be successful. As you build this type of relationship throughout your organization, it will make all the difference in the world in employee teamwork and in customer service. As a manager or owner, you may not understand how important you are to your employees. I can guarantee that your entire organization is watching you; they look at your mood; what you say and what you don't say; and when you're in the restaurant, the employees track you like you're on radar. The best way for you to get new employees is to get your current employees to recommend job openings to friends and relatives. If your employees are not prepared to strongly recommend your restaurant as a place to work, then you will never get any good employees working for you. It is very important that your employees like to come to work for you. You have the responsibility to create this environment. You can increase the productivity of your employees 8-10% through increased sales and it will not raise your payroll. So your only real expense would be food cost. That's why marketing to increase sales is so advantageous to the bottom line. The restaurant marketing program is really your key to success. It is the "secret ingredient" to increasing your sales. It will allow you to control the amount of business that you have each week. Restaurant marketing helps you to get new customers and get your current customers to come in more often. Each program is designed to increase sales.? It's by your ability to put into place in your restaurant new marketing ideas and promotions that will increase your market share and compete with the national chains that will allow you to continually increase the value and success of your restaurant marketing. There is no upper limit to the income that you can make if you use a restaurant marketing system effectively within your restaurant. Once that you have "tested" the promotions that you believe will be effective and they have proven results, all you have to do is decide how often to use them to achieve the income you want to have.
